I have personally purchased PPS from three companies in Johannesburg and one in Cape Town after 3 terrible experiences I thought OK thios power problem does not look like its going to get sorted out so I am going to have to buy something that works!  I hate being ripped off so I thought hopefully I can prevent one of you from having a similar experience otherwise I was just too angry to let it go. Did I mention after a few weeks one bastard actually changed his mobile number and disappeared! I suppose what I can say is if you purchase from any of these places at least if you call them in a month or 6 months they will still be operating and their contact details and address is genuine. Seriously these guys are the best I found in SA and I didnt just search and make a list I purchased from many of them a few others sell Rentech branded products and I know how long they have been operating and Rentech also provided some tips on the type of organizations the character their best partners.   The first time I spoke to Rentech must have been a few years ago when I contacted them asking if I could be a reseller. The problem with load shedding nothing worse than having to spend money on an item you really have no interest in or knowledge totally differant if you buying what you actually really want like a Nikon Camera or new 4×4 if you get my meaning. something you can get excited about. Unless this has only been my experience. I just purchased the first seemingly good product and wow what a learning curve. The 1st store or crook gave me an address but it was an empty plot. His mobile phone stopped working about 3 weeks after purchase. I then realized the fancy looking Chinese power solution must have been a dead battery lithium that was sold as brand new.  At least the next purchase lasted all of 3 months in Cape Town. I have zero technical knowledge Mah Ah etc. But I do know a lithium battery can be used when it has 50% power available. You can actually use it I guess to 90% unlike the other battery that only provides 50% power. I thought let me put a list together of some of or only the best reputable sellers, suppliers and brands in Southern Africa. I have places like Rentech.
